SF → NYC: How We Built a Standard That Scales

When we started Office Libations, we didn’t plan on building a national food and beverage provider. What we set out to solve was much simpler: how to make workplace food service work—reliably, consistently, and without creating more headaches for the people managing it.

The first request we got wasn’t for something flashy. It was this:
“Can you help us with more than just coffee and alcohol?”

At the time, office managers were burning out trying to run office snack programs on their own—stocking shelves, tracking inventory, ordering through five different apps, dealing with spoilage, and just hoping employees noticed.

What they needed wasn’t another software dashboard or a random delivery.
They needed a partner—someone who could handle office snacks, coffee, beverage delivery, equipment, restocking, data, and the unexpected things in between.

That’s how Office Libations was born.

A Model Built for Scale, One Market at a Time

We started in the Bay Area, serving early-stage tech companies and rapidly growing startups. We didn’t try to do everything—we focused on doing one thing really well: creating snack and beverage programs that were full-service, transparent, and hands-off for our clients.

It worked.

That led us to open a second warehouse. Then a third. As we expanded into Denver and Austin, we kept refining our logistics and systems, learning how to serve companies across time zones, climates, and cultures—all while keeping service consistent.

Our operations model is fully in-house. No third-party logistics (3PL). No outsourcing.
From warehouse to delivery to client support, everything is handled by our own trained teams. That means:

  • Accurate ordering and inventory tracking
  • Dedicated support teams who know your account
  • Equipment support and maintenance included
  • Real-time data and usage reports
  • No surprise fees or vendor handoffs

As more companies moved toward hybrid work, they looked for partners who could match their pace—fast, flexible, and able to scale. And that’s where we stood out.

NYC Offices Deserve Better

The New York market isn’t new to food vendors—but it is underserved.
What we heard from companies here was familiar:

  • High prices, but limited selection
  • Office snack vendors that were impossible to get ahold of
  • Inconsistent service and missed deliveries
  • Little visibility into what was actually being stocked

In a city where companies demand excellence in every area—design, operations, experience—the breakroom was falling behind.

That’s why we chose to invest here.

We set up a full warehouse operation in North Bergen, NJ, giving us easy access to Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the greater NYC metro area. From SoHo startups to enterprise offices in Hudson Yards, we’re already serving fast-growing teams who want better snacks, better service, and better data.

One Standard, Coast to Coast

What sets us apart isn’t just our product catalog (though we’re proud of it).
It’s that we offer a single, unified experience across all your locations.

If your HQ is in San Francisco and your sales hub is in Midtown Manhattan, you get:

  • One vendor, one point of contact
  • Consolidated billing across offices
  • Consistent product quality and service level
  • Program data available at-a-glance

For operations and workplace teams, that kind of consistency is rare—and valuable.

A Mission That Still Holds

From the start, we’ve believed that workplace hospitality should be:

  • Effortless: You shouldn’t need to micromanage your snack program.
  • Consistent: Service quality should hold up week after week.
  • Human: Your vendor should know your team—not just your account number.

We’ve scaled, sure. But we’ve also stayed true to our roots:
Veteran-founded. People-first. Operations obsessed.

“We built Office Libations the way I learned to lead in the Navy—with clarity, ownership, and attention to detail. That’s what companies deserve, especially in NYC.”
— Claude Burns, Founder & CEO

Ready for the NYC Standard

Our clients aren’t just looking for snacks.
They’re managing hybrid work, competing for top talent, and rethinking their employee experience.

We’re here to support that—with better office snack delivery, smarter coffee service, and a service model that works as hard as you do.

Whether you’re scaling from 50 to 500 or just tired of dealing with three different delivery apps, we’re built to meet you where you are—and help you grow from there.
